Electrical Engineer Officer

Key Responsibilities :

A. Project Planning & Engineering:

• To conduct feasibility studies as necessary
• Work with project managers to plan and design engineering projects.
• Assist project managers in creating project schedules and budgets.
• Able to understand electrical drawings such as SLD, Ladder Diagrams, panel drawings, synchronization point, etc
• Design and calculation for Electrical Generation, distribution, transmission and utilization system
• Design and implementation of electrical & electronic systems for entire plant
• Provide in-house technical consultancy, review, and approval for project/shop drawings from consultants/vendors/contractors/in-house to ensure they fulfil the requirements of the project.
• Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT)
• To liaise with Authorities such as PLN, etc
  
  

  B. Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks to the project and come up with ways to deal with them.
  • Take action to solve problems and keep the project on track
    
    

    C. Vendor Management:

    • Work with project managers in identifying and qualifying suitable vendors
    • Completion of design and engineering briefs and conversion into design specifications for tendering
    • Evaluate tender submissions and provide recommendation
    • Management of vendors contracts from initiation to handover
      
      

      D. Reporting & Documentation:

      • Create and manage project documents ensuring that they are up-to-date, including all vendor drawings, calculations, design data, reports, etc. Then handover complete documentation to the operations team after commissioning.
      • Provide for internal reporting requirement such as feasibility assessment or periodical reporting as required by the project.

E. Governanace & Compliance

• Adhere to corporate guidelines for governance and compliance.
• To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the Company.

Qualifications & Requirements :

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or any related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in engineering or related field
• Familiar with industrial facilities - Palm oil mill, refinery, or others
• Proficiency in CAD Software: AutoCAD, Inventor 3D, SketchUp 3D, or equivalent.
• Prepared to be stationed at Medan Head Office
• Willingness to travel as required by the project
• Written and conversational English is a must
